MM romance Kindle deals: cheap, discounted and free gay romance books
A list of MM romance Kindle deals I keep updated: ebooks on sale, at small prices, or completely free. Deals like these exist all the time, but they drown among thousands of other books and the big bargain newsletters rarely bother with our categories.
So here they are on their own, queer romance only, from freebies to full length novels under three dollars.

MM romance under $3
Cheap gay romance ebooks, discounted right now.
Full length gay romance novels currently under three dollars on Kindle, a lot of them at 99 cents. Some are discounted for a limited time, others sit at that price all year, so it is worth checking back.
Beautiful Chaos
Lyndon Hargroves is seventeen and has his whole future mapped out, right up until Cole moves in next door with a perfect smile and green eyes and absolutely no interest in being loved back. The boy has a past Lyndon cannot place and guards it hard. A slow burn about wanting someone who keeps you at arm’s length, and about choosing between love and loyalty when both options end in a broken heart.
Handle with Care
Dylan lands a summer internship at a London museum, fresh out of university and fresh off the plane from Vancouver. He wants the permanent job at the end of it, no complications. Then William joins his team: flashy, entitled, far too good looking and fully aware of it. They end up stranded together collecting exhibits, with one bed between them, and when a major exhibit goes missing they are both on the hook for it. Rivals to lovers with a summer in London around it.
A Matcha Made in Hell
Spencer spent four years shoving Rhett into lockers. They meet again in college, where Spencer has spent every day since graduation trying to be someone else, and where the attraction between them turns into something neither of them planned to admit. Rhett keeps telling himself he should put a stop to it. Spencer keeps looking for a way to atone, in increasingly compromising positions. Open door and on the spicier end, with a frat, a father and a lot of repression in the way.
An Offer He Can’t Refuse
Sebastian gets fake-engaged to his best friend Vivianna, possible Mafia princess of Bensonhurst, who will bankroll his dream bakery in exchange for one small wedding lie. All he has to do is smile and pose for photos. Then Dominick walks in as their wedding planner and makes that considerably harder. Between a fake fiancee with real secrets, a mother of the bride out for blood and a disco themed neighbourhood festival, the truth is going to come out. A queer rom-com about cannoli and chaos.
Beyond the Summer
Ben would rather spend the summer in his cabin drawing, working towards being a professional illustrator, but he owes his family one last season at Camp Eagle Ridge. Then he gets paired with Sutton Holm, the cocky jock who once tried to pull his best friend away from the man he loved. Something stirs, and Ben is fairly sure it is hatred. Camp keeps throwing them together long enough for him to see the kinder man underneath, and to start wondering what the anger is covering. Book three of Camp Eagle Ridge, originally serialised on Kindle Vella.
Blue Collar Cowboy
Cam gets guilt-tripped by his mother into going back to his tiny hometown in the middle of rodeo season, to help out the ex he has not spoken to since he left. Mitch is broke, has a broken back from falling off a roof, and three daughters raising themselves and him. The old feelings turn up fast, but the girls could fall for Cam too, and Cam has never been the settling type.
Can't Refuse Him
Oscar is a janitor carrying a curse, courtesy of one bad breakup and one witch with a grudge, which turns taking the bins out into an ordeal. Then a monster climbs out of one. Eddy has been undead for decades, stuck haunting garbage as a Bin-Spirit, and by rights should hate the living. He does not hate Oscar. Between vengeful exes, messy hauntings and Eddy's rotting spectral form, breaking both curses is going to be dirty work.
Burying Venus
Dermot is a kitchen servant and a bastard in a house that hides behind stone walls while the village outside starves. He is quietly in love with Aubrey, the kind youngest son, and quietly furious at the rest of the family. Then Maldred turns up, a faerie who feeds on bitterness and offers vengeance rather than justice, and Dermot agrees to put something in their food. The poison does not kill, it maddens, and the eldest son answers with witch trials. Graphic violence and explicit scenes.
Chosen
Shifter packs are losing the ability to change form and omegas have gone into hiding. Hunter's temper has him facing exile unless he takes a mate, so he fakes one to buy time and picks Cade, a snarky omega being offered up at the packs' gathering. Cade wanted none of it and spends his time planning an escape, except Hunter's scent keeps getting in the way, and Hunter turns out to know almost nothing about omegas or himself. Includes mpreg, littermates and bear puns.
Coast to Coast
His father's will drags him back to the family that disowned him and leaves him owning a third of a failing hockey team he never wanted. The plan was to sell up and go back to New York. Then there is Rowen, the coach, brilliant and stubborn and impossible to ignore, who argues with him about everything including who is actually in charge. One night in a desert motel rearranges what is at stake. This is the illustrated special edition.
Corner Pieces
Three years after an accident he still will not talk about, Cyrus has built a life out of routine, distance and careful control. Then a grad student in his twenties lands in the middle of it. Forced coexistence turns slowly into something else, and Cyrus has to work out whether he is willing to be known by anyone again. A quiet one, about grief and about the risk of letting someone close. Deals with the loss of a spouse.
Crooked Tree Ranch
Jay walks out of a collapsing life in New York and into a marketing job at a Montana dude ranch, where he spends his first weeks clashing with Nate, the ranch's brooding foreman and former rodeo star. Nate has held Crooked Tree together for five years with his younger brothers watching, and needs the ranch saved more than he needs a city boy with opinions. The arguing goes somewhere neither of them planned.
Demon's Wish
Sammy runs a bookshop and a book club made up entirely of paranormal creatures, and has quietly written romance off for himself. Dresalantion is a demon prince, thoroughly irritated at being summoned over and over, who finally turns up meaning to frighten his summoners and ends up rescuing their sacrifice instead. Sammy talks too much when he is nervous, can get hold of the manga Dre has been hunting for months, and turns down the wish he is offered.
Twice Bitten
Between a blood condition shortening his life and a vampire hating mother quoting scripture at him, Luis is not an obvious candidate for friendly relations with the undead. Anxiety runs most of his life, but he is tired of being afraid to leave the house, so he applies to be a vampire couple's designated driver. Julien and Karim turn out to be funny, clever and kind in their own separate ways, and being their friend is the first thing that has ever made Luis feel brave.
Who I Became With You
Luke became a personal protection officer after a tragedy, on a promise that nobody within his reach would go through the same thing. At the nightclub his firm covers he spots Oliver, quiet and guarded, and hands him a card he does not expect to be used. Three weeks later Oliver calls. A temporary safe place stretches into months. Oliver is reclaiming what an abusive father and then a supposed rescuer took from him, and Luke is straight and on the ace spectrum, which Oliver is fairly sure settles the question.
Winging It
Hockey is Gabe's whole life. Dante just wants a good time on the way to the Hall of Fame. Then Gabe gets outed, his game falls apart and takes the team's season with it, and the last person he expects to pull him out of it is Dante. Gabe's sexuality does not faze Dante at all. His own does. Witty banter, a bad idea both of them commit to, and one of them still learning to share a part of himself he has kept hidden for years.
Chained to the Hunt
Kasten is one of the Night Prowlers' best hunters. He does not ask questions after handover, does not get attached, and never stays past dawn. Then he is sent after Reve, an assassin wanted alive, who turns out to be sharp tongued and far too willing to hold his gaze. Weeks on the road strip Kasten down to a truth he has been avoiding: the contract was never a simple recovery, and the den that made him is rotten. Dark, explicit, morally grey on both sides.
Phantom Flower
He came to Bloodburn Academy to be invisible. After losing his father and being dragged to another country, blending into the background was the entire plan, and it would have worked if a Morozov had not noticed him. Dimitri rules the campus the way he will one day rule his family's empire, and has decided that the one person who wants nothing to do with him should bend too. Standalone, with a guaranteed happy ending.
Ghost Ribbon
Keep your head down, get the degree, disappear before anyone remembers your name. That was the plan, until Alexei Morozov noticed him. The coldest of the Void Kings, the Russian mafia's favourite weapon, a man who does not ask permission and has never been accused of mercy. Loving him is a mistake, because monsters do not love, they consume. Standalone, with a guaranteed happy ending.
Husband of the Year
Olan wants to spend the rest of his life with Marvin, and his daughter Illona cannot wait to call Marvin her stepfather. Bashert, meant to be. Then the wedding gets close, the family tensions nobody dealt with come up for air, and Marvin starts wondering whether a whirlwind romance is a foundation you can build a life on. The finale of the Teachers in Love series, about the family you choose rather than the one you get.
Made to Submit
Paulo follows his heart to England to work with the chef he never forgot, and finds his private hopes in pieces the moment he arrives. Hurt, he lashes out, and the choices get harder from there. Kaden had given up on finding someone willing to surrender to him completely, right up until Paulo transferred in from another restaurant. The problem is that Paulo is in love with somebody else, and the kitchen keeps putting them side by side.
The Ruin of a Rake
Lord Courtenay has been called a rake, a libertine and worse, and has never much minded, right up until a scandalous novel supposedly based on his life gets him shut out of society and kept away from his nephew. Repairing his reputation means putting himself in the hands of the most correct man in London. Julian has spent years building that correctness, loathes Courtenay on principle and wants him rather badly. Both of them are holding something back.
The Soldier's Scoundrel
Jack grew up in the London slums and now uses everything the underworld taught him to help the people the law will not. He distrusts the nobility on sight, which is inconvenient when Oliver appears: a soldier home from the war who wants the safe, predictable life of a gentleman and cannot stop sparring with a man who breaks the law for a living. Watching Oliver's polish crack is quickly Jack's favourite thing in the world.
We Could Be So Good
Nick has worked his way from a rough Brooklyn street to a reporting job at one of the city's biggest papers, and in the late fifties that means letting nobody in. Then Andy arrives, a newspaper tycoon's son who cannot pay a bill on time, gets lost on the way to work and has no intention of running his father's business. Nick keeps rescuing him, from filing cabinets and from himself, and the friendship sharpens into something neither of them can deny in daylight.
You Should Be So Lucky
The 1960 season is going badly for Eddie: he cannot hit, his new teammates cannot stand him, and he is living out of a suitcase. When the team's owner orders him to sit for interviews with a snobby reporter, quitting starts to look attractive. Mark is not a sports reporter, he writes for the arts page, and he is barely managing that since losing a partner he was never allowed to be public about. Two lonely people circling each other in an enormous city.
Like You Hate Me
He told his sister's best friend he never wanted to see him again on the day she died, and he meant every word of it. Two years later the boy turns up on his driveway announcing he is moving in for his freshman year. He is supposed to be the college basketball star his father raised him to be, and instead every scrap of his attention goes to the one person he blames for everything. Dark, obsessive, and neither of them is stopping.
FIRE on Fire
Ash lives by Financial Independence Retire Early and keeps a spreadsheet for his money, his workouts and the date his real life is supposed to start. Kael has paint on his jeans, overdue bills and a billionaire patron whose generosity feels a lot like a leash. They meet at a mountain retreat and each decide the other is a complication, then a wildfire strands them in the Northern California backcountry and the mountain keeps making them trust each other anyway.
Hellhounds Never Lie
Ash is technically a fire mage, in the sense that he can turn his bedroom light off without getting out of bed. Something bigger flickers under his skin now and then, but it usually turns out to be indigestion. Then he finds Dillon, a hellhound being chased through the woods by an angry wolf pack, and something unlocks. Dillon is convinced Ash still has his magic. A small supernatural town, a talking cat, a very large dog and a mage who is always cold.
Hearts of Allaria
Four standalone romances in one world. A paladin sent to capture a necromancer, then snowed into a shelter with him. A quiet life shattered when royal guards claim one man is the lost prince and the other the sorcerer who cursed him. A Celestial and an Infernal who meet by accident on a battlefield and have to decide what the bond is worth. And an inspector who reads auras chasing a thief who can change his face. Fade to black, four guaranteed endings.
It Started with a Text
Making a viral video mocking your celebrity crush's pretentious apartment tour is not a dating strategy. So when someone slides into Nick's messages claiming to be Anthony Devine, Grammy winner and gay icon, Nick assumes a forty five year old catfish in a basement. Five thousand messages later AntD is his favourite person to talk to and the running joke has stopped being funny. Meeting him risks everything they have built, whichever way it turns out.
Morning My Angel
Josh arrives in London to find his security firm's missing partner and spends most of his time clashing with Cal, his new British counterpart, who is charismatic and insufferable in roughly equal measure. The attraction is not in question. The complication is Charlie, the long distance relationship Josh's heart is still tied up in. Then the missing persons case turns sinister and Josh becomes the target.
Oak King Holly King
Shrike, the Butcher of Blackthorn, wins a tournament in the Court of the Silver Wheel and is named Oak King, a title that comes with a ritual duel and a death. He intends to survive it, which means putting his life and his heart in a mortal's hands. Wren is a London clerk who gave up on fanciful dreams long ago and assumes the medieval looking brute in his office is an elaborate prank. Wild Hunts, arcane rites, and a very repressed Victorian slowly coming loose.
Ranch Manny
Trace has lost his teaching job and is on the road with his daughter Susannah, close to going back to his ex or his parents for help, when a job falls into his lap. Nanny on a ranch in the middle of nowhere, for a cowboy who is far too good looking. Brent has a ranch to run, three children he inherited when his cousin died, and an elderly hand with Alzheimer's to care for. He does not mind Trace's rainbow dreads and piercings. The village will.
Salvation and Sin
Jesse wants an honest life in Angel's Rest, which is difficult when rumours follow him everywhere and his name still carries a bounty. Eli is the preacher's son, loyal to his father's faith and quietly desperate for a taste of freedom. Eli's steady kindness meets Jesse's guarded heart, and then sabotage starts rattling the ranches and the law decides it already knows who to blame.
Script
Finn is a Hollywood actor who lied about being able to skate to land the serious role that might finally let him come out. He has a month before filming and has not been on the ice since he was ten. Cameron is the face of the LA Storm, at the peak of his career, and has been asked to teach him. Keeping his secrets in front of the man teaching him turns out to be the hard part, and so does giving him up when the shoot ends.
Seduced by a Scoundrel
Jeremy is the most fashionable tailor in London, delighted to be summoned to Kensington Palace to take measurements, right up until he overhears a plot to rule in the young Princess Victoria's place. His life is suddenly worth something to the wrong people, and the only man who can help is Derek, a Metropolitan Police officer still mourning his lover and looking for distraction rather than anything serious. Then somebody tries to kill Jeremy and the flirting stops being light.

Bad to Be Good
Longboat Key is about as far from the streets of Detroit as a group of gay former mobsters can get, which is the point: threats from inside their own organisation put them in witness protection. Richard is tending bar, working out who he is outside organised crime, and flirting with Daniel, the cute single dad who turns up every Wednesday. Then Daniel's past as a hacker catches up with him, and the only skills that can help are exactly the ones Richard is trying to leave behind.
Bare-Knuckle Love
Jason is back in his home town and making money the only way he knows how, in an illegal bare knuckle fight he has been paid to lose. The Rabid Mongrels have bet against him and stand to make a fortune. Then he spots his high school crush in the crowd and cannot bring himself to go down. Hyde turns out to be the club's president, now out for his blood, and the deal Jason has to strike with him turns into an obsession that takes him somewhere very dark.
Beau Pair
He is my teacher. I am his student. He is also my boss, because I am his daughter's nanny. Gordon is mature, experienced and exactly the silver fox problem this was never supposed to become, and there is no version of this where showing how he feels ends well. Except Gordon keeps looking at him like he is either a fantasy or a disaster, and it is genuinely unclear which. Low angst, high sizzle, first in A Proper Education.
Empire of Stars
Jace never expected to drive a car, let alone a spaceship, until Earth is attacked by the Khul and he turns out to be able to access ancient Altaeth technology capable of destroying them. That makes him humanity's representative to the stars, and puts him alongside Commander Khoth Voor, a haughty alien officer from the only force the Khul have ever struggled against. Note that this is a serial: every instalment ends on a cliffhanger.
Fish and Ghosts
Tristan inherited Hoxne Grange from his uncle, along with the job of caretaking a Gilded Age mansion that serves as a way station for spirits on their way out. His loving relatives would rather have him declared insane and his trust fund freed up, so they hire a team of paranormal researchers to prove the place is not haunted. Wolf has spent his life debunking the supernatural and is looking forward to blaming the floorboards. The Grange has other plans.
Just Acting
Rose rode the Thai Y-series rollercoaster for nearly ten years before a scandal pushed him aside, and My Reality the Series is his last chance at the payment he is owed. Nok never wanted to be a lead at all, but his family is in debt and his sister's school fees are due. Falling in love was not in the script for either of them, and while the industry sells same-sex romance on screen, off screen it can end careers.
Married to my childhood friend
Living with your childhood friend was supposed to be parties, television and video games until three in the morning. Thomas was fairly sure that was the deal. Instead life with Lin feels a great deal like being married, in the sense that someone is looking after him with real care and he is not remotely mad about it. A light, weekly serialised rom-com about two friends behaving like a very domestic couple.
Rogue Royal
Douglas is the spare heir and chafes at every restriction placed on him, wanting nothing more than to lose himself in someone who is not after what they can get out of him. Maverick was assigned to manage his social media as punishment for showing up his boss, and has never managed to get transferred, possibly because he is too good at the job. Douglas works out what Maverick's weakness is and wants to be the one to teach him. Contains D/s dynamics throughout.
Signed, I'm Yours!
The Sinister Signature is New York's biggest supervillain, and anything he signs is his. Unfortunately that now includes Jack, the relentlessly cheerful agent with the bear build who caught him in the act and cannot seem to stop smiling. Jack is his only route into the agency that might know where his missing family is, which would be manageable if they did not also have to pretend to be engaged. A very convenient bi awakening, and only one bed.
Verdant
Lucky does not take orders, which raises the question of why he signed his life over to the Intergalactic Militia. He is not inclined to explain, least of all to Roys, the infuriatingly attractive rule follower permanently at his shoulder. Then a job goes wrong and strands them on a planet where the plants would like to eat them, and Lucky suggests something uncomplicated to pass the time. It does not stay uncomplicated. About messy men, buried trauma and pasts that catch up.
Were-Geeks Save Wisconsin
Josh is having an excellent time at a comic convention right up to the moment he discovers he is a werewolf. Before he can process any of it he is whisked off to a secret lair by Nero, a very attractive man dressed as a Roman centurion, and informed that his chemistry degree now belongs to Wulf, Inc. Nero would much rather be hunting the demon that wiped out his pack than babysitting a trainee. Werewolves who need tech support, and geeks who deliver.
The Magpie Lord
Exiled to China for twenty years, Lucien never planned to come back to England, and certainly not as the new Lord Crane. His father and brother are dead in circumstances nobody wants to explain, he has inherited the family's enemies along with the title, and he needs a magician quickly. Stephen has excellent reasons to hate Crane's family and the professional obligation to help him anyway. Evil is soaking through the house while Stephen falls for entirely the wrong man.
The Rebuilding Year
A few minutes pinned under a burning beam cost Ryan his job as a firefighter, his girlfriend and very nearly his leg. A year of fighting his way back later, picking a new career and renting a room from the college groundskeeper ought to be the simple part. John knows about loss too, having moved twice to stay near his children before his ex took them to California. The house is large and quiet and gets a great deal smaller once friendship turns into something else.
How to find cheap gay romance on Kindle yourself
If you want to hunt on your own, three things work. Follow the authors you already like, because an ebook going on sale often means the next book in the series is about to come out. Check the LGBTQ+ Romance and Gay Romance categories sorted by price rather than by popularity, which surfaces the bargains the bestseller list buries. And set a price watch on the specific books you want instead of waiting to stumble on them.
That is a lot of tabs to keep open, which is exactly why this page exists. I do the digging, you get the list.
Questions people ask me
How often does this page change?
Often. I add titles as I find them and take off anything that has gone back to full price, so the list you are reading is the one that is worth reading today.
Are the free books really free?
Yes, at the moment you see them. A free Kindle promotion can end whenever the author decides, so if a title is showing as free it is worth grabbing rather than bookmarking.
Why is the price different from the one you show?
Because Kindle prices depend on where you are buying from. The prices here are the ones a reader in the United States sees. I am in the EU myself and I always get a slightly higher price than the one I list, mostly because of tax. More rarely, a deal is not offered at all outside the US.
MM, mlm, gay, queer romance: is it all the same thing?
Roughly, yes, and you will see all of them used for the same books. MM and mlm both mean two men in the central romance. Gay romance and queer romance are broader and can cover other pairings, so a queer romance shelf will not be all MM. I use them interchangeably here because that is how people search, but everything on this page is MM.
Why are the deals mostly indie authors?
Because MM romance is largely an indie genre, and indie authors run promotions far more freely than the big publishers do. It is the reason the bargains here are better than in most other romance categories.
Do I need a Kindle?
No. The Kindle app for phone, tablet and computer reads the same books, and everything on this page is a Kindle edition.
Why do you do this?
Because I enjoy it. I like making lists of things. Maybe that’s a bit weird, idk, but if I’m going to do it anyway, it might as well be useful to someone.
